Hello,

because an hardware issue I replaced my board and my CPU.
So by now I have an Asrock Z370 Extreme4 and an I7-8700K.

After some tests I'm a bit surprised.
On the one hand:
Speed is going down to 1GHz and up if necessary. Thats fine.

But the max. speed I reached was 4.3GHz (Via Intel Power Gadget). Doesn't matter if just one core is under fully load (Consumption around 35W, temperature less than 50°C) or all cores are under load (110W, 70°C).

Based on the spec the maximum speed should be 4,7GHz and its an "K" so probably it should be possible to have more speed than that.

Any idea how to speed up the processor?

You should change your profile / sig to reflect your hardware upgrades.

Check your AVX offset setting. should be zero or auto

Make sure you have the bios in the advanced mode. The AVX offset will be under CPU configuration

OK, AVX is under OC.
But it's on auto.

I think there is another problem within my macOS, because based on the intel specs the 8700k shut work upto 4.7GHz without overclocking.
But thats also not working, so maybe the macOS doesn't know the processor.

8700K turbo boosts up to 4.7 with 1 core. All 6 core turbo could only reach 4.3 with OC settings touched.
