What is the best approach under 10.6.3?
How does SpeedStep affect this? Perhaps I should ask how does this affect SpeedStep?

Most of the conversations I've seen are going back and forth between experts using terminology that I'll admit is unfamiliar and I was wondering if anyone would take the time to post some simple guidelines for the rest of us. Not a manifesto, but just some steps starting from a fresh install of 10.6.3.
