i7 6800K or i7 7700K? After Effects user

Hey guys.

Which of the two processors will benefit me most? I do a lot of 2D animation, using a variety of plugins, so there's always a mix of CPU and GPU usage.

Anyone have experience with both? I've trolled the internet, but found nothing close to a competent answer.

Puget Systems would say that the 6 core 6800K would be better for AE.

It depends on the mix you mention but rendering benefits from cores. If you manage to have more CPU than GPU rendering go with cores. You can offset, however, by higher single core in 7700K vs 6800.
