i7 3770k Low Floating Point Scores

i7 3770k/Gigabyte UD5H/Vengence 16g Ram

So I ordered some cooling and in prep for OC I've been running some Geekbench tests and my results at standard clock are comparable to others except for floating point which usually comes in in the high 14000's ... which results in an overall lower geekbench (32bit). Is this any cause for concern? I believe I have followed all Bios recommendations for my mobo. Is this floating point score independant of HD speed? (as I"ve yet to order my SSD)

The floating point performance seems like to scale with higher CPU frequencys. In 32bit I get with 4,2GHz 20600 points.

Thanks for the info. I couldn't help notice you got ML and Win8 going on yer box... can you point me to some instructions on how to do that? THanks again.

Sure. I installed OSX on my first SSD. After that I disconnected that drive and installed Windows 8 on the 2nd SSD.
With the first drive connected again and set as primary boot device I can select the OSX in Chimera bootloader.
