Hi guys.

I have been reading around and have decided to go Hackintosh (though I am still a little nervous as I have read some posts that have put me off it quite a bit). I am a mac guy and just cant stand windows. Basically I need a decent system for logic pro mainly as well as for general use. I'm aiming at a mac mini equivalent. Anyway here is what I have chosen for the build:

CPU: Intel i5 4570 [AMAZON-uk]http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CV3E3WK/[/AMAZON-uk]
Motherboard: GA-H87N-WIFI [AMAZON-uk]http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00D8WH636/[/AMAZON-uk]
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB http://www.ebuyer.com/339598-corsair-8gb-ddr3-1600mhz-vengeance-memory-cmz8gx3m1a1600c10
SSD: 120GB Kingston SSD [AMAZON-uk]http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00A1ZTZOG/[/AMAZON-uk]
HDD: Hitachi 1TB 7200RPM http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Stor...1010KLA330)+?productId=46369&source=skinflint
PSU: SFX Seasonic 450w
Case: Silverstone FT03S-Mini Mini ITX case

So that's what I have gone for. Mostly chosen these off of the buyers guide. A few questions though:

1. Can you get WIFI working on this motherboard? I have heard people have had problems.

2. Do software updates really mess things up? Can't I just simply avoid them if that is true?

3. I have built a fairly high end PC before with my son. Everything went completely smoothly. Is a Hackintosh much more effort than a custom PC?

4. Are your projects stable? Is there a lot of worrying involved or can you use your system knowing its stable?

Thanks in advance! Any help is appreciated!

1) Yes, I think your components should work (except possibly the WIFI).

2) As the installation process should install a vanilla version of OSX, software updates normally should not mess things up.

3) If you choose suitable hardware components then it may not be much more effort. My own system (see below) works well with Snow Leopard / Lion / Mountain Lion and the installation process is quite straightforward once you build up the UniBeast USB installers (or install them from hard disk).
