I have a fairly strange problem.
I have my i5-2500k OCed to 4.8GHz. It's nice and stable and cool under windows, Not a hint of bother.
Anyway, When I'm booted into Lion, About This Mac shows 3.29GHz (For some reason my MOBO likes to set the BCLK to 99.8, even when I manually have it set to 100)
The Overclock is done in the BIOS, and works as it should on windows. However, on Lion, it Doesn't go above 3.3GHz.
The only thing that I can think is this has something to do with turbo boost. The only numbers that I have overclocked are the Turbo boost multipliers, and not the base multiplier. Does Lion only take the Base multiplier and not utilize turbo or something?
It's really gotten me puzzled, and I'd like to get it sorted. Thanks!
