I want to try it on desktop first.

I have been thinking of getting a macbook for a long time but I tried Linux and could not use it, too hard to use, so I thought why not try the os on my desktop before venturing in a new buy.

Basically I have 2 questions.can I run both windows and mac? and is my desktop ok? I have i5 intel generation processor & a gts450 which has 1399 passmark - G3D mark on high end video card list.

Yes you can run windowed and Mac and it will probibly work.
