I have a extra Superdrive from my Macbook I want to use in my desktop, but I can't find a caddy to put it in to where I can mount it in the drive Bay, can someone link a Caddy that you could do this with? IDE love to be able to use the Apple Superdrive in my tower :) trying to keep everything as Apple used Chips etc as possible.

What interface and cable does that drive use? If it's an IDE interface, you may have a difficult time getting it working, since IDE interfaces are pretty much not found on motherboards anymore. Also, notebook drives often use non-standard cables, even if the interface is SATA.

Hey I appreciate you linking that Bay thats the one I decided to go with, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007C1KPQY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=18IQMHGG86LSD&coliid=I15KHSWNJGTMEV

I have Amazon Prime so Im going to order through them, I have a 2009/2010? Superdrive from my MacBook Pro, It uses Sata and Micro/Slimline Sata Power, Im also linking a adapter I found for this addition to my build, gonna order it here sometime shortly and pop it in the tower, Kinda excited to have the drive for when we get free rentals.

Decent littler Micro/Slimline Sata adapter for the Drive and Should allow easy installation with minimal adverse looks to the interior, and since is an official internal drive hoping it'll be just plug and play other than adding a string to a kext. Thanks a lot again and hope this helps others wondering the same thing,
In total it should cost around $35 to do it.

I am using a Mac Book slot loader Mat****a UJ-898 in the Z87I-Deluxe build - had to get a micro SATA to SATA adapter, but the Superdrive was plug and play - no kext edits needed.
