I need an answer, wich model USB ETHERNET ADAPTER should..

I have Snow Leopard 10.6.7 fully functional but my network drops down quickly and I must restart my P.C to connect again.
But I heard there is an option that makes ethernet to work very good, with a USB Adapter Ethernet, the conclusion I want to know if is good to buy a standard USB ADAPTER 10/100 ? or I need specialy adapter from apple ?
only a answer if is good with a standard usb ethernet adapter.
