The 2 listed on this site are old. 1 is discontinued and the other for a specific Asus MB.
I have aGigabyte GA-Q77M-D2H board runningHigh Sierra 10.13.6
Its mostly for Audio recording and mixing with an Apogee Duet Firewire.
Thanks!

You need a Thunderbolt card for a firewire interface?

Unless you can point me to a Firewire PCIx card. I can always get an Apple adapter (Thunderbolt to FireWire) and I have newer thunderbolt HDs so thunderbolt is best but a firewire adapter can work just fine too.

You mean PCIe I suppose? I have a Delock 89153 EAN 4043619891535 Firewire card that works fine on my Z170x. Look for a PCIe firewire card with Texas instrument chipset. Most of these should work. I had a Startech PCIe FW card on my previous Z68x hack that worked fine on that board but prevented proper shutdown on my Z170x, so it's not that any FW card will do.

Don't know if you can get a compatible TB board for your mobo at all. There's only a subset of mobo's that are compatible with TB add on cards.
Check with Gigabyte first.
