I just want sound! ALC1150 or gtx770 HDMI

Hi there, I'm new to the mackintosh community, but very mac literate.

I've got everything pretty much setup, I have my ethernet working, graphics card natively supported, but I have no sound.

My build:
Mobo: GA-Z97X-UD7 TH (ALC1150 sound chipset)
Graphics Card: Gigabyte GTX 770 4gb
Processor: i7-4770K

I currently am booting 10.9.1, attempted to load 10.9.3 but could't get it to load to the desktop.
(in order to boot up without safe mode "npci=0x3000" is required)

So I attempted both using VoodooHDA and AppleHDA to no avail, the computer refuses to boot, with the last line in verbose always being:

[0xffffff8023704400](1)/(5) Device not responding

I'm using no DSDT, and Multibeast 6.1.0.

So I was wondering if anyone here had any ideas?
If I can just get sound that's all I need, thanks in advance.
