Hi all. I've been very happy with my Hackintosh for the past 7 mons. Updates go well. No problems, etc. Live was good.

After updating to 10.6.8, I used multibeast to do a rollback so my audio would work fine again. I lost audio inout on my webcam, so I couldn't FaceTime.

It came crashing down today. I boot up and I get a memory allocation error.

my initial thoughts were to blow away the install and start from scratch. but all the apps etc would take too long to get me up and running. Is there another way?

am I correct in assuming my Chameleon install is the only thing wrong? If so how do I use IBoot to get me back to the way I was?

Some help please would be great!!

Thanks!!

RJ

hey all. Here's a follow up.
I tried booting with the newest IBoot CD that I just made, and selected my previous install. I proceeded to get a kernel panic.

what does all this mean?

Thanks again in advance for anyone's help!

when you use iboot next time, try typing -v before you enter osx.
will stop somewhere, take a pic of it

Thanks for replying and offering a hand.
typed it cause I'm using my iPad to write this.

It stops when it says this:
MAC Framework successfully initialized
Using 16384 buffer hardware and 4086 cluster IO buffer headers
IOAPIC: version 0x20 Vectors 64:87
ACPI: System state [S0 S3 S4 S5] (S3)
PFM64 0xf10000000, 0xf0000000
[ pci configuration begin ]

Will she live? Haha
