I just noticed today that HW Monitor now has few more entries as "Thermal Zone" and one of the zone is red making me think that its above the threshold. Whats that?

Screen shot attached.

It means you're running the wrong version of FakeSMC plugins. You must be using Kozlek's version instead of mine. See: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-FakeSMC-kozlek

I downloaded your builds(https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-fakesmc-kozlek/downloads) and installed. Same results. During the installation of FakeSMC, there was a popup that bunch of sensors plugins are not from authorized developer or something.

I can confirm. Latest (6.1.12) Probook installer has some sort of botched fakesmc/hwmonitor that doesn't go well with probooks.

edit: also, hdd temperature isn't updated properly even though hwmonitor is set to refresh s.m.a.r.t. data every 5 minutes. There's obviously something wrong with this build.

But I did not update to 6.1.12. I still have 6.1.11

Are you certain you rebuilt-cache and that it was successful? Make sure to monitor system.log during the cache rebuild to be sure you actually have my build of FakeSMC in your kernel cache.

What specific problems are you seeing?

If you think you have found a bug in kozlek's code, install his version to verify and report it directly to kozlek: https://github.com/kozlek/HWSensors/issues?state=open

Are you comparing the temperature reported by HwMonitor with some other SMART reporting software?

Ad.1
Additional "thermal zone" entries, many of them reporting "0".

Ad.2
Yes, smartctl. If I remember correctly, the issue with hdd temp not refreshing properly started with your RehabMan-FakeSMC-2013-1206.zip build, the previous one (2013-1003) was and is the last one (I rolled back to that one now, actually) that reports hdd temperature correctly.

Unfortunately due to exams at my Uni I can't test those few mentioned builds right now, I'll do what I can as soon as possible though.
