HW on an older HCL

I have an LGA775 CPU and some DDR2 around and I can get a cheap motherbord. Doesn't need to be super fast. On this page I see some LGA775 motherboards http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.4.1

How do older HCL's work?
Will the latest MacOS support anything older, or is my hardware only supported up to a certain version?

I'm sorry, I think you're mixing up websites, we have nothing to do with the osx86project and as far as their wiki is concerned, you'd have to ask them.

That said, we only really support LGA-1156 platforms and newer, as well as OS X 10.5 and onwards, so you're a bit on your own here.
