I got this same board tony used at the beginning of the post and audio shows up in about this mac but not in system preferences.

I used the voodoohda but found it to be a bit crackly. I ended up buying a USB sound adapter from amazon for $10. Works perfectly.

I got one but i like all my onboard working

UPDATE

I got mine to work by getting rid of DSDT and using non DSDT Enabler and Patched Apple HDA ALC887/88b, now it works like champ, possibly the DSDT needs edited by someone who knows how.

I´m running 10.7.3 without DSDT and a modified kext for audio.
Can i upgrade to 10.7.4 and add the DSDT from Tony and install the AppleHDA from the new Multibeast (tony said it´s now modified etc.)?
Has anyone experience with that?

after reading (more like glancing) throughou 33 pages, now I kind of understand why my Z77-DS3H w/ i5-2500K will not go to sleep. My HD5770 is out for service and I am using sad VGA connected monitor with onboard HD3000 and I have to use GraphicsEnabler=No to boot if not I get DRMstatus error saying iTunes and app store cannot use content whatever....

Can't wait for my HD5770 to come.

I got sound with the previous method (ALC887HDA.kext) but I will try this one.

Did you finally got QE/CL working? I have the same issue as you below :

1. Open Terminal and type
sudo -s
fill password
then type

defaults read /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver GLCompositor

2. If you have QE/CI enabled, there will be like this:

{ tileHeight = 256; tileWidth = 256; }

but if don't maybe QE/CI not yet enable…

3. Do this to enabling QE/CI

defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.windowserver GLCompositor -dict tileHeight -int 256 tileWidth -int 256

4. Restart machine and do some tests to check QE/CI

These step did nothing to my build, where you able to get the acceleration for the drop down menu in launchpad, and the rest of animations????
thanks in advance
Preavious method works too, but you have to manually copy the kext to the extensions library, and change the ownership of it in the terminal... this other way is simpler and gets everything done in one reboot :D
QE is the next thing I have still pending, and which is what I am tackling at the moment...
I have tried with the HD3000 and animations work slowly and don't have the splash in the widgets. also with the quadro fx 370 and a Radeon hd6870 (asus directCU version) I have the animations working but still no splash screen on the widgets...
the command above does nothing to my build, so I have discarded using it.

I just can't get hd300 to fully work (2500k), my bios is f2
I don't even have com.apple.windowserver in my /Library/Preferences folder...
any ideas how to enable fully functional HD3000?

+booting into osx takes ages (grey logo on white background)

So is there one solid straight through method posted somewhere?

I'm able to get Lion installed using the Unibeast method.

After that I am stuck on the correct procedure,
I install 10.7.4 Combo Update via Flash Drive
Don't Restart
From there I install Multibeast addons
One guy says to install with these options.
UserDSDT install (Taken from DSDT Database) (Renamed to DSDT.aml as suggested)
Drivers & Bootloaders
Kexts & Enablers
Audio
Universal
VoodooHDA 0.2.7.3
Disk
IOAHCIBlockStorageinjector
Graphics
NVIDIA 4xx/5xx Support (What he put, I have an Radeon 6850 so no check)
Miscellaneous
FakeSMC Plugins
Motherboard Plugins
AMD Radeon Plugin
Network
maolj's AtherosL1cEthernet

After this I run Bridgehelper 4 and restart. Right when I clicked restart on the update I got a KP.

Can't seem to get this rebooted after Multibeast. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

What's working:
-The new Gigabyte UEFI is working with sleep/wake without a DSDT!!
-No kernel panic on power management
-Atheros ethernet working with driver from MultiBeast
-Realtek ALC 887 working with ALC8xxHDA/AppleHDA rollback, or toleda's 887 kext
-Gigabyte 3D UEFI Bios has similar look/feel to other AMI UEFIs
-HD 3000 graphics working fine through the Z77 chipset

HD3000 is not working QE/CI on a series 7 mainboard.
cannot load SNB Frambuffer, error message is "SNB Frambuffer did not show up, unload". (see kernel.log)

workaround
1. edit /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext/Contents/Info.plist
2. add it (red strings)
<key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key>
<string>0x1C3A8086 0x1E3A8086</string>

GA-B75M-D3H
Core i3 2105 (HD3000)
QE/CI is full working

Special Thanks Mieze' post.
