So, ive been messing with my laptop for a few weeks, a bit of help off a guide on here and along with a member, i finally managed to get OSX El Capitan installed and working, i dont have Wifi or HDMI output yet tho, things ill fix along the way,

My new problem is that ive upgraded my ram moving from 3GB to 6GB, now booting up the install restarts the laptop (cant even get to the install) im using exactly same USB i did that worked successfully, i am guessing this is a ram issue but would rather battle it than dropping back to 3GB..

Any advice would be appreciated. I am making a Tutorial of my own for this laptop as the one previously done is for an older OSX, hopefully ill get everything working!

Thanks
Ash

If you're using patched ACPI files, make sure you re-extract/re-patch after the RAM upgrade.

i am trying to boot from usb to reinstall with new ram but it just wont boot, verbose gets half way then fails

Boot verbose, show photo. Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (omit 'themes' folder).

i dont have enough time to take a photo it just reboots ill try catch last thing and update you thanks

Read post #6.

Also...

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
("Personal Details" link from "profile menu" in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"
