HP Mini 1030 NR no ahci mode in BIOS.

I am trying to install SL on an HP Mini 1030NR, and I could only get it to boot to iboot legacy. Now when I boot from the SL cd, I get a kernel panic.

Unable to find driver for this platform: "ACPI"
Debugger called: <panic>

The problem is that I do not have a place to change in the bios to ahci. Anyone have any ideas? Should I look for a bios update? Thanks

Did a BIOS update, still nothing. There are simple almost no options to change in this BIOS.
