With the last beta I installed, I managed to get it to a state that was generally usable, but some things weren't working (at least what I observed)

• Sound
• Bluetooth (BCM94352Z)
• Backlight control

Power management seems to be working.

I managed to get this far by following rehabman's Mojave guide—which gets the laptop functioning almost 100%

Has anyone figured out how to get Catalina working for this laptop at the level that Mojave is?

Hi, did you succeed? I have The same laptop. Sound works amazing with lilu+applealc +layout 15.

Could you share your efi folder? I have plenty of problems un sleep and BT (dw1560). So with your and mine folder we can do a better for us and others users

I followed this guide for Mojave’s and it works fine aside from the WiFi taking long to initialize on startup when using Catalina

I followed that guide, very carefully as I did with my other 3 hp laptops but this time I can't boot. It stuck past the acpi configuration. Don't know why. I have to use a dsdt from a 840 g3 laptop to boot.
