HP Elitebook 840 G2 - Sleep/Wake issue

About the only thing you can extract from that thread (the thread is a bit messy) is the idea to try different ig-platform-id values.

Yes I'm on 10.12.6 so it would seem I have hit this wall as well.

I tried ig-platform-id 0x16160002, 0x16160004 and 0x16160006. All have the same issues

@apfeleimer can you please confirm which ig-platform-id you are using on 10.12.3?

Did you verify your attempt to set ig-platform-id was successful by looking at ioreg?

I'm using 0x16260006 on 10.12.3. This works best for my setup (Lenovo, i5-5200U, HD5500, FullHD). Good luck!

I did not. And now I think I miss edited the SSDD-IGPU.dsl. Retesting

Now I can confirm that I tried ig-platform-id 0x16260002, 0x16260004 and 0x16260006. All have the same issue with display sleep.

ig-platform-id 0x16160002, 0x16160004 and 0x16160006 have additional issues with the video memory being reported incorrectly and artifacts on the display.

Should be no issue with 0x16160002, but 0x16160004 and 0x16160006 not expected to work as they are not valid ig-platform-id values (you cannot just use random numbers).

0x16160002 does not have the memory issue but some strange artifacts happen when scrolling through text.

Do you know of any other ig-platform-id to try?
