HP EliteBook 820 G1 - Cannot boot Catalina installer

So I created the bootable USB(3) disk via the createinstallmedia method on a real MacBookAir.

I followed the most recent Dortania guide and ended up with the attached EFI and stuck at

178:577 00:169 AAPL: [EB|`B:WFDW] Err(0xE), 0 @ LocHB 71B4903C-14EC-42C4-BDC6-CE1449930E49
178:747 00:169 AAPL: [EB|#LOGT] 2023-06-18T20:21:58

I also tried various other people's EFIs, mostly ones made for 820 G1 and 840 G1 laptops, using older versions of OC. Most of them failed in a similar manner...

I am getting a bit hopeless but posting here as a last resort!
