please read the faq for proper hardware profile setup:I tried to follow tutorial according to dortania. Attached is my EFI folder. After selecting install macOS Big Sur, laptop's display goes blank and after some time (> 10s) I get some info on screen. After that is goes blank. I would really appreciate any help. HP 250 G7, i5-8265u, 16GB RAM, 256 GB SSD.
have you tried a newer VoodooPS2Controller.kext?OK. Adjusted accordingly. I've tried several times to install Big Sur on HP 250 G7 (i5-8265u) without success.
After applying the following fix (troubleshooting section):
boot moves to the point where it writes message "BuildActDeviceEntry exit".
- For older firmwares:
- EnableWriteUnprotector -> True
- RebuildAppleMemoryMap -> False
- SyncRuntimePermissions -> False
Now it hangs on BuildActDeviceEntry exit!
Attached: screenshot of boot log, config.plist and content of my new EFI folder. I am using OC 0.6.3.
Any idea how to move further? Really don't know where else to look.
I used the latest one 2.1.8 (Nov 2, 2020). Tried again, downloaded and booted but nothing changed.have you tried a newer VoodooPS2Controller.kext?
have a look at the other settings in post2 of the guide in my signatureI used the latest one 2.1.8 (Nov 2, 2020). Tried again, downloaded and booted but nothing changed.
If I set these two, it finishes much earlier (shut down). I don't understand what you mean with post2 and your signature. Could you, please, provide a link.have a look at the other settings in post2 of the guide in my signature

I tried all of that. Nothing helps.[Guide] Booting The USB Installer Using OpenCore
