That same display name is also on my test build. No idea (so far) where that comes from.@Edhawk and others
I have the 3 BT kexts:
BT looks working but System Profiler >> Bluetooth >> Chipset says THIRD_PARTY_DONGLE. Do you have any idea about it? Because I saw that your BT has a specific chipset name.
- IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext
- IntelBTPatcher.kext
- BlueToolFixup.kext
I guess it's cosmetic although annoying. OpenIntelWireless BT kexts spoof BT as Broadcom. In this way, there are chipset names well detected. Others, as ours, are not.That same display name is also on my test build. No idea (so far) where that comes from.
