How to upgrade form HS to Mojave

I run the installer for Mojave, reboot, boot from the "Install Mojave" option, it runs, it restarts, and I'm back to my normal HS install.

Am I missing something? I'd like to just upgrade, not do a clean install if possible.

Mojave needs to run the install tab a few times. My updates take 2 reboots with the install tab.

Is the install tab still there in clover boot screen. If so keep hitting it till you see the Mojave boot option, then it will load the final stage.

Well that went sideways. Couldn't get it to boot at all after that.

Now I can't get ANYTHING to install. I had this system running for years with no problems too.

I started clean with another SSD, tried just installing HS again instead of Mojave, I can't even get the installer I made with Unibeast to run. I just get "Error loading kernel cache"

Boot with -f UseKernelCache=No.
