Hi all!

I am trying to figure out how to install the FakePCIID thing so that my integrated graphics start working.

I am looking at the following articles

https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-fake-pci-id/overview
http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/fix-intel-hd4200-hd4400-hd4600-mobile-on-yosemite.145427/
http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/i...ll-support-for-alternate-cpus-in-os-x.155051/

But I can't figure out how to make use of any of the information properly.

Most articles suggest the FakePCIID_HD4600_HD4400.kext
but RehabMan's bitbucket does not contain that.

I am really confused.

Please help. I have been trying for days now. No success :(

Use FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext.

Yes yes that's what I am doing. I have the Clover bootloader btw.

But I don't know what to do with all the information provided.

So far I have installed FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext.
Then I opened Clover Configurator and changed the Graphics settings to have IGPlatform 0x0a260006.

I restarted, and when I open "About this mac" it shows Intel Graphics HD4400 3MB and everything is laggy.

Something isn't right.

I've done everything by chance. I have no idea what I'm doing.

Is there an up-to-date tutorial on how to setup HD4400 properly?

The Rules said:

Thank you, but I've already done that.

And that guide is for the chimera bootloader.

I changed to the Clover bootloader.

Before I keep asking for more help, I'd like to ask one question regarding that article: How o I rebuild cache?

I think that it's where I screwed up.

If you had read it you would see that it started off with Chimera but there are many posts regarding Clover too.

I don't think that rebuilding your cache is going to get you out of this hole.

But it says in the guide to rebuild the cache?

Also, the clover instructions are not really instructions, it just says to put the kexts in the EFI folder and change the config.plist file. That's not very clarifying. Where in the EFI folder should I put the kexts? What in the config.plist should I change?

Edit: currently reading the thread page by page to find something interesting.

FakePCIID_HD4600_HD4400.kext is deprecated.
New name is FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext.
