I successfully installed Big Sur after installation using opencore I copied the EFI of the USB to the EFI of the hardisk
But big Sur will not boot from the hardisk only with the help of the USB, is there a way to configure to be able to boot Big sure without the help of the USB?

Did you correctly mount the HDD EFI folder and then copied over the EFI folder from the USB? Once that's done it's simply a case of picking the correct HDD from the OpenCore EFI boot menu (what ever you named the drive).

Dean, thanks for your reply, I did exactly as you wrote and when the computer start I can choose the correct HDD from the OpenCore EFI boot menu but only when the USB is plugged in the computer when I unplug the USB and I start the computer I can see in the bios my hardisk and also my bios is recognizing the open core of the hardisk and I can choose in the bios the opencore or the hardisk. when I’m choosing the opencore I don’t get to see the opencore boot menu it doesn’t boot. I tried also to choose the hardisk also no luck. Any suggestions?

I'm wondering if it's a BOIS setting. Did you check around the forums and online about your board to see if others have run in to the same issue? I'm not familiar with ASUS, so I won't be much help.

Dean, thanks again for your reply, did you mount and deleted the EFI from Hardisk then mounted and copy the EFI from the USB to the EFI of the hardisk and you can boot from the hardcore of your hardisk and see the boot menu and boot into big Sur with no issues without the need of the USB plugged? Another question is:
I was thinking about just keeping the USB plugged and boot to big Sur this way cause it doesn’t bother me to have the USB plugged, my question is

When I turn on the computer and I get to see the opencore boot menu my big Sur hardisk is the third on the list, is there a way to configure that my Big Sur will be first on the list this way when the computer will start and go to opencore menu list and find big Sur the first on the list it will boot directly to big Sur without that I will have to choose ever time I will turn on the computer, that the opencore menu it will do it automatically and boot to Big Sur?
Im attaching just in case also the EFI of my hardisk and the boot next to the EFI folder. I Tried with and without the boot attached to the EFI folder

Can someone reinstate my reply and remove the YT link. Thank you, and then merge the replies together and delete this post.

My EFI folder is on my desktop. I mounted the EFI partition on the MacOS drive. With the mounted EFI folder, drag/copy the EFI folder on the USB stick/or where ever to you saved it.

Make sure the folder structure is correct and the files are not in a folder, within a folder.

MacOS HDD > EFI > EFI folder contents

NOT

MacOS HDD > EFI > EFI > EFI folder contents

If there are any files within the EFI folder on the HDD, just delete them, or the whole folder completely, (copy them if you wish to save as a back up).

P.S. Not sure why my original post got deleted, it wasn't against any rules having checked.

in system preferences you can choose the startup disk from there

also, just to confirm, use for example hackintool to mount your EFI partition, then delete the EFI folder from there and replace with your working efi folder from your usb

also, as you don't have a dell (according to your hardware profile) you can remove:
SMCDellSensors.kext

as you don't have a laptop, you can also remove:
SMCBatteryManager.kext
SMCLightSensor.kext

you can probably remove:
NullCPUPowerManagement.kext

also no need to have 2 EC aml files, remove one of those

Does it matter if you mount the efi partition any other way, say for example - using clovers built in efi loader?

Dean, thanks so much for your suggestion copying only the contents inside the EFI folder of the USB to the EFI of the hardisk it helped, I also deleted the install macOS Big Sur from the USB and it worked. although I can boot to Big Sur only with the help of the usb when I turn on the computer in the opencore menu Big Sur is the first above the list meaning that opencore automatically selects Big Sur and boots to big Sur Without for me the need to select it so its booting wonderfully just turning on the computer and I’m in Big Sur.... I’ve made a backup of the USB on other USB in case I will lose this one, many many thanks....
