How to change layout to enable SPDIF out

Hi all,

i can enable sound on my motherboard chipset 892 use toleda_audio_CloverALC script. in fact, my motherboard haven't the SPFIF out port. But i can use expansion slot connect to SPFID out 2 pin on motherboard. i also can enable SPFID on 10.9.2 previous use the Realtek_ALC_AppleHDA_customization guide to achieve it. But now, i don't know how to change to port layout to achieve on 10.10. Anyone can teach or help me ? i'm using clover bootlooder.

The method is exactly the same, use Realtek_ALC_AppleHDA_Customization guide.
Two Options:

1. Edit a 10.10 AppleHDA.kext, install and restart
2. More work, the result survives Software Updates
   1. run audio_cloverALC-100.command, see Post #1, Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA
   2. edit S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/Resources/Platforms.zml.zlib
   3. edit EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10/realtekALC.kext/Info.plist
   4. save, install, restart

Can you show me which PathMap ID is 892 chipset within platforms.xml ?

thank you for your high level instruction. i tried to fix this problem whole day. i still can't find out how to edit the SLE platforms.xml .. the content of this platforms.xml not look like the same at previous version. i can't found out which pathMap ID is need to edit. And i take a look for the CloverALC script. it look like download a suitable chipset for me. and copy layout 1,2 and 3 .xml files to patch the S/L/E appleHDA.kext . is it i only edit the layout 1 this file ? because i use choose the layout id 1 for my 892 clover script setting.

i can found my 892 chipset item 10 under this EFI/EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.10/realtekALC.kext path. is it follow this to edit it ?

Edit HDAHardwareConfigDriver/info.plist
1. Open Item/CodecID
2. Verify CodecID/LayoutID
3. Edit ConfigData
⁃ Find: 21171cf0 21171d00 21171e00 21171f40
⁃ Replace: 21171ca0 21171d01 21171e43 21171f99
⁃ Find: 21e71c90 21e71d61 21e71e4b 21e71f01
⁃ Replace: 21e71cf0 21e71d00 21e71e00 21e71f40

See Customization Guide/Appendix/2. Realtek ALC AppleHDA.kext (details, before any customization described in this guide)
Platforms/Item10/PathMapID 892, edits nodes as shown in guide.
No mention of any layout file in the guide, do not edit.
Yes. EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10/realtekALC.kext/Info.plist/Item 10/283904146/1, edit ConfigData as above

Hi Toleda,

i following your instruction 1 - 3 to edit the item 10 configdata find and replace it, after reboot it. all of the sound device is disappear.
what's wrong ? and in the clover config.plist, do the kernel and kext patches setting will affect my edited layout setting ? i have tried many times either 10.9.5 or 10.10. i'm sure this customization layout is work on my previous 10.9.2 , but don't know what wrong on 10.9.5 or 10.10 .. please help me. thanks
