How many hackintoshes are there in the world?

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I was wondering if anyone had ever seen an estimate of the number of hackintoshes in use. I have been unable to find anything through internet searches, but can only assume the number is not great in the grand scheme of things. Thanks.

I'd struggle to think that they wouldn't be a user on any of the main forums so I'd look at their user lists - but there will be a lot of overlap of users.
