How exactly is the performance of the on chip Intel 530 graphics?

I don't know how much is dedicated to the onboard graphics chip.

The cpu states much higher, But the motherboard (gigabyte z170 series), states 512MB Max shared. It doesn't seem like a lot, maybe there's other things at play such as the CUDA scores and such. Most of the basic cards today start at 1gb, with most decent ones being in the 2gb range. Hmm, much more to think about now...Thanks, Timeah...

I've not been a fan of IGP's but the 530 on my I3-6100 runs quite well. I haven't run games yet on OS X though. I'd spring for a NV GPU card like the 950/60 if I was going to run what you are.

Yep, that's pretty much along the lines I'm thinking now. I like the i3 chip a lot but will use an i5 for the sake of the CAD, and will most likely need a powerful graphics card (hopefully I can get a little time out of the HD530 graphics until I see what Apple and OSX Sierra will require/ support)...
