How do I start from scratch ?

I didnt do my research very well and now im experiencing the effects of that. I just want to start everything from scratch and erase my hard drives. I went into Recovery on clover and disk utilities but when I try to erase the hard drive it says, "Erase process failed"

Do I need to do anything in my BIOS to do a fresh factory restart of everything ?

I would make a bootable usb stick that you would need anyway to install your desired operating system boot from that stick as it is described in the installation guide open up disk utility select all of your drives and format them.Basically do this
