How do I get Java?

I have updated to 10.6.8 and I want to play some games but they require Java. When I go to the java page is says to go to Software Update, should I do that or is there something else I have to do?

if you run software update you should get it,you may need to run it two or three times to get it from apple.it usually arrives with the supplemental update for lion...

under software update, given that you have 10.6.8 installed and if the system asked to update your JAVA then by all means , go ahead and update.
