<< Solved >> High Sierra Stuck 2 Minutes Remaining

Hi All,

New here and first time build. I'm getting stuck on the high sierra installer with 2 minutes remaining then errors out with "Target is not convertible to APFS" and "Failed to prep BR Tool" Upon rebooting and selecting the boot MAC OS on the target install drive it instantly freezes on 18 minutes remaining and have to force restart.

I have tried all versions of Aptio Memory Fix but the only one that can boot onto the installers is "AptioMemoryFix-64" I have also taken out the GPU and one stick of RAM but same results. Have also tried just a normal SATA drive with no luck and both formats on HFS+ and APFS.

I have attached screen shots of the errors and my CLOVER folder.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Secure Boot - Disabled
OS Type - Other
XHCI Handoff - Enabled
4G encoding - Enabled & Have tried it with Disabled
Boot Mode - UEFI

MB: Gigabyte Aorus z390 pro Wi-Fi
CPU: i9 9900k
RAM: Trident 32gb RAM 3200mhz
GPU: 1080 GTX
HDD: 500gb Samsung m.2 Evo Plus nVME

Thanks for the info, can confirmed EVO PLUS doesn't work.

Does this same issue happen with Samsung EVO 860 SSD's?
