If your two Macs are on the same network you can enable "file sharing" in the system preferences "sharing" pane (Attachment 1) of your MBP. After you have enabled file sharing, you should see your old MBP in the Finder window of your new Mac (Attachment 2).
If your old Mac is running an earlier version of OS X that doesn't have this facility, how about using an external HD or USB drive to copy files across?
You could also try using the Migration Assistant, although I've never tried this option myself...
o to clear things up i dont have osx lion in my i7 pc .
i have lion in my macbook that i would like to copy over to my pc
and make it a hackintosh . this would work much better to run my net radio show on .would networking work .or do i use one of the downloads
