help with wireless setup

im running SL updated to 10.6.7. Im trying to get internet connection on my pci ew-7728in which has mac support. Their drivers only support upto 10.5. Drivers installed fine and i can see the LED lights on the wireless that all is working. I tied setting it up is Sys/pref/network but can't do it. The wireless shows up as ethernet 2. How do i go about it /?

I have an Edimax USB2 802.11n wifi dongle and it hasn't worked with either 10.5 or 10.6 hacks or real macs. I think their drivers are pretty useless. Do you know what chip your PCI card uses?

I originally bought a tiny Edimax dongle based on it having Mac drivers. It was rubbish both on Mac and Windows 7 and I sent it back.

i still need wireless on the OSX pc for internet because it set up away from my main rig. So what will work with Mac i need to buy something thats good and works with mac staight out of the box.
