Help with ML Audio

Im playing around with ML on a test drive in my system. I've cloned my Lion install adn installed ML, and after using MultiBeast 5 I get working audio. However, when I do a clean install of ML on that drive and run Multibeast, I can't get audio to show up. What am I missing?
