I built the PC below in hopes of making it a Hackintosh. Sadly I can't get macOS installed. I am trying with 10.3.3 High Sierra. I started with the default UniBeast and get about 10% through the progress bar with the Apple icon or the Apple icon turns into a cancel sign. I've tried downloading several other EFI folders from various posts on here with different errors. Still can't boot macOS. Can anyone help me out so I can share full build details when I get it working?

follow this guide closely..

I have 13.3.3 on X299 Aorus Gaming 9 (~ +/- yours mobo) I follow the guide of pete1959 [Success] High Sierra from i9-7900x X299 GA Aorus 9, Radeon Vega ... in first instance, and the guide of kgp for improve the installation.
For overclok , carefully [Guide] Overclocking your Skylake X on the Mac OS x High Sierra ...

The user DSM2 has the Designare EX as you.

An advice, take special care to follow the instructions of the MOBO as to which SATA ports, which M.2 and PCI can occupy, because when occupying an M.2 for example, PCI and SATA configurations are canceled

Both the links above do not work, please post the links for the guide to get the Designare EX? Thank you!

Bumping thread. Has this been resolved yet?

I haven’t been able to get it to run macOS yet. Sadly I’ve been running Fedora Linux on it for 6 months. Maybe I’ll give it another shot this week with Mojave.

Ah. That's a bummer. I'm in the middle of trying to figure it out. I got close last night. I got to the point to where I was actually installing high sierra onto my ssd. But then my computer restarted and it would not finish the installation. If I have any success, I'll message you and let you know!

Well we are at the exact same spot. Tonight I got it to boot off the macOS 10.3.6 installer, formatted my SSD and began installing macOS. After the first reboot on the SSD I get the logo of a circle with a cross through it.

Woah. I got it to work running MacOS Mojave 10.14.0 on a 2.5" SATA SSD!!! I haven't been able to test all the ports yet. So far the top ethernet port is working but the bottom is not. The built in audio is not working but my audio device is showing up over USB which is a Behringer UMC404HD.

Bluetooth is recognized.
Wi-Fi menu bar says no hardware is installed
Thunderbolt says No drivers are loaded in System Profiler but I have not tried connecting a Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C device yet.

That’s awesome, man! I’m still trouble-shooting on my end. Hopefully I’ll have high Sierra up and running in the next couple of days. I’ll keep you posted if I get it working!
