Help with DSDT on Acer Aspire VN7-791g Yosemite

That's the way i've done.

Not the command I asked you to run... but...

Read the guide carefully.

Extraction of native files is done in Linux (or the other methods mentioned).

Disassembly is done in OS X.

Yeah... trying to run an iasl binary built for OS X on Linux is not likely to work...
 
The files from ubuntu I've saved.
This I then worked with iasl.
From then were these .dsl files.
Much I could not go wrong I think.

Should I upload the raw files from ubuntu here?

You must be invoking iasl incorrectly (must use 'iasl -da -dl *.aml', where *.aml includes all DSDT.aml and SSDT*.aml).
