Type 'ls -l' from the extraction directory. It should look something like this:

Code:
localhost:RehabMan-HP-ProBook-4x30s-DSDT-Patch-ffa5887 Admin$ ls -l

Can't you make said all.txt file and PM the thing to me or something, this file does not need to be natively made or does it ?

Yes, I could, but then you wouldn't have learned anything, would you? And you'd be back when you want to upgrade your screen or implement fan control... so it is best to learn for yourself. It really isn't that difficult, as you will see, once you get success...

This guy is the BEST!! i get get sick how selfish everyone else here is. you'll post a question for days and see that people are actually viewing it but noone responds.. NO ONE but rehabman. What a selfish community! we should all help each other out when in need. I myself am just training and i had a lot of questions that one one really took the time. Also, we ought to have a rule for the selfish takers only on this forum, people that only ask questions but never contribute anything, a way to see who is active and who is just leeching. Just a thought. I was going to put this vent up as a seperate thread... i still might

Some people have more time on their hands (I am semi-retired, after all)... Hopefully, there will be less repeat questions now that we have the sticky guide/faq/extras threads. I can already tell it seems quieter around here, so hopefully I have more time for dev work. I have a couple of Win8 projects going, would like to learn about objective-C and iPad, there's always improvements that could be made to my voodoo project, and then I have this Microsoft Surface too. On top of that, snow ski season is coming up, and when that starts I'll be spending a lot more time outside.

But there will always be people who come here, get their laptops working, and never come back until they need help again, or there is a troublesome OS X update. That's just the way the world works, and I wouldn't get too worked up over it...

Very well.. if you say so. i tried to patch my dsdt after i got my all in one patch made up succesfully and i got an error. Does this mean my dsdt not properly extracted? this is part of the message i got

Without the DSDT.AML file, I can't tell. It could be that you are using an old version of iasl. Did you try using the "Auto Patcher.app" bundle that I posted to InsanelyMac?
