help : Trendnet pcitxr is NOT working OOB

Hello

To create a cheap machine I followed a recipe that stated that the network card from TrendNet PCITXR was supposed to work out of the box. This is not the case for me.

I can see the card, but it will never get a valid IP. On DHCP, it will get a default 169.254.xxx.xxx but this cannot be an address from my router, because it will give adresses in 192.168.0.1xx. The light stays yellow.

If I try to setup everything with manual options, I can get it to have a green light, but I still dont have any access to the web.

Router and internet are working fine for other computer (PC) in the house.

Did I miss a magic step ?

dont know what I have done ! I ran Multibeast again, selected all the network kext in there ... and tada it worked.

Sound simple ... but that was after three night of swearing, trying Ubuntu on the box, reading every forum posts, buying an other non working card, almost getting killed by me GF.
