Help to follow instructions for Lenovo T480s touchpad hotpatch

Hi there,

I have an almost 100% working Lenovo Thinkpad T480s laptop (except wifi and touchpad multitouch features) with Mojave (10.14.6).

I found instructions on how to fix the touchpad multitouch features but they're so cryptic that I must be missing something. Probably it's a very easy thing that I'm missing, but I need some help, please!!!!

• Add VoodooPS2Controller.kext (***add??? Where should I add it??? In L/E? In S/L/E?)
• Add the patch in config.plist.patch, so VoodooPS2Controller does not attach itself to the PS2 interface of the touchpad. ***I've added this patch to the config.plist within EFI/CLOVER/.
• Delete VoodooPS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns/VoodooPS2Mouse.kext, otherwise the touchpad will not work after sleep. ***This is the only part of the instructions that I find clear enough...
• Add the four patches found here https://github.com/leo-labs/macOS-T...ter/EFI/CLOVER/config.example.plist#L436-L467 and https://github.com/leo-labs/macOS-T...ter/EFI/CLOVER/config.example.plist#L500-L535 to supress loading of those kexts. *** These patches are also to be added to config.plist, isn't it?
• Install this kext. ****Install this kext? Which kext? The first one (VoodooPS2Controller.kext) that I modified previously?

• same place as your other kexts, try and keep them all in clover/kexts/other

• not needed with latest version of VoodooI2C

• possibly the VoodooI2C kexts?

Those VoodooI2C kexts are not mentioned in the guide and not attached to the repository. Anyway, I might look for and try to install them and will let you know.

ahh, then it would be kext you download from here:

i2c-i801 driver port for macOS X + ELAN SMBus macOS X driver for Thinkpad T480s, L380, P52 - VoodooSMBus/VoodooSMBus

you may need to keep the renames in config.plist

Ayyyy! Silly me, I didn't realize there was a tab with "realeases" of the kext file. I was expecting all files to be in the repository.

You are a star!!!! I was just missing to find out the silly kext in that tab and installing it in my CLOVER/Kexts/Other
