I've recently been trying to install 10.13.4 on an HP 430 G3.

The 3 threads below have some great information and I've read through all of them but as I'm just picking up basic understanding as I got a little confused by about the relevant with similar threads about where to start with the 3 threads and which bits of which are current and most relevant to me with this build. The first thread gave lots of relevant stuff, but it describes the process for High Sierra beta initially:

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

I think I've got everything I need working now with the exception of audio. At the moment the speakers work from boot (but stop working after waking from sleep) and the headphone socket doesn't work - no sound from headphones and the speakers keep playing when headphones are plugged in.

It'd be great if anyone could suggest what to do to fix my audio issues. Problem solving files attached.

Massive thanks to feartech who has already been really helpful in this build.

Try alternate layout-id=5 as per guide:

Thanks. Any hints about how and where I make that change? Or the specific tool/area that I need to read to learn how to do it?

Is it literally as simple as opening config.plist with textedit and changing the value there and rebooting?

Cheers!

It is set in the model specific SSDT. Look for layout-id from MaciASL.
