Hello, I have been trying to get into the OSx setup for some time with my current hardware configuration... I have Removed one Dimm to get down to 4gig, I have tried both my SataIII, and SataII hard drives plugged into 0, and 1 ports.

Regardless of my configuration, I get this error on the iboot CD....

EBIOS read error: Device timeout
Block 0xc72398 Sectors 0

I have tried the EHCIacquire=No UHCIreset=No Switch with the same result. Any Suggestions?

System Specs:
Intel Core i7 Processor i7-920
GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R
DDR3-1800 6GB (3x2GB) CL9 *one removed to = 4gig*
GIGABYTE ATI Radeon HD5750 1GB DDR5
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB SATA3
Also Tried with WD sataII Drive drive on SataII bus

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Okay after trying again with the 5xxx experimental iBoot with the -x switch I get a different error, not sure what these are referencing.

EBIOS read error: Device timeout
Block 0xc8e608 Sector 0
Are you using a SATA DVD drive?

Yes

*Solved* Switched from a Retail 10.6 DVD, to a 10.6.3 DVD, Installed no problems via iboot 5xxx 2 without any switches... FWIW Installation took place with 6gig or ram installed, on a sata3 marvell bus, onto a sata3 hard drive.
