HELP! OSX cant see my SSD

So disk utility isnt showing my Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD. So i cant download OSX, anyone know whats wrong?

So disk utility isnt showing my Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD. So i cant download OSX, anyone know whats going on?

Update: The drive is now readable by OSX as an exFAT format but cant be formatted as mac os extended, i get the following error: Couldn't modify partition map. What do i do now?

• If this is occurring when you boot your High Sierra USB installer disk to Disk Utility (after selecting Language) for the purpose of Formatting your Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD to install the High Sierra System on it, then
• Exit Disk Utility.
• Click from the top menubar , Utility>Terminal
• Perform Partition and Formatting using the Terminal
• Then Exit and launch MacOS High Sierra Installation screen to find the Formatted SSD and the USB Installer USB disk to proceed.

Is that what is happening? Do you need any help about use of Terminal for disk formatting?
