Help needed with the following hardware....

I have a retail copy of Snow Leopard and want to build a new computer. I was looking at the following motherboard and cpu, but am not sure if it is compatible.

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z77-DS3H.
The CPU is an Intel Core i3-3220 3.30GHz.

Any help would be appreciated.

Those are compatible with OS X, but they are Ivy Bridge, which isn't supported in Snow Leopard. You can get Snow Leopard installed and it will work well enough to download Mountain Lion, which you can then install. See the following guides:

Also, you will need a separate graphics card because the HD 2500 graphics integrated with the Core i3-3220 are not fully supported.
