I'm having the same problem. I've tried adding both PCIRootUID=1 and PCIRootUID=0, npci=x2000, and I'm still stuck on the same line. If I don't use -v, I get stuck on what looks like the Apple boot screen - white with the gray apple logo.

I've been typing my line like this:

PCIRootUID=0 -npci=x2000 -v

Please help-this is breaking my brain.

Here's an image of where I'm getting stuck, by the way. image.jpgI

i'm stuck with the same error, too. can't tell if it's haswell + 10.8, 10.8.5, or the graphics card (gtx 670).did you figure out a way around this?

me too,

mobo z87x/ud3h
gfx 760gtx
mountain lion 10.8.5 usb install stick

The first time I succeeded with -v -f GraphicsEnabler=No

Then I ruined my bootdrive, and had to do it all over again.

Now I get stuck at "pci configuration begin"

please help......

did u change anything in bios - take a look

also did you try to boot with the command as well as what u listed above. npci=0x3000

tnx for yout replay,

SOLVED!!

when booting the install usb stick I used:
-v GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1

after installing i boot again to finalize installation
-v GraphicsEnabler=No

I finished with multibeast

Now I can add my
- firewire 800 pci card
- Decklink HD Extreme

I'm happy now, heheheh.....

Thanks for posting this it solved my problem with my new build! I did go into the org.chameleon.boot.plist and the line you said to change already read no/String.

Is there another way that I can get the npci=x2000 command into my boot so that I don't have to type it every time I start the computer?

Thanks so much for your help! I'm getting there!

Rik
