i did the download again and it still with the same problem.

when i try to mount the say INVALID CHECKSUM and didnt mount.

Delete the Install app and redownload it from the App Store.

So it has to be something in the download chain that is introducing the errors. So try using a different computer if possible or maybe change your router.

I personally had this problem, and I have dealt with it a few times. Here is the solution has worked for me 4 times now for 4 different people in my area. Apparently the copy of Mavericks in your geographical location is corrupt no matter how many times you download you will get it from the same app store server or geo location. What you need to do is under your network settings on the computer that you are downloading change your DNS server ip address to some free ones. I use the free google ones such as 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 once you input those into your DNS entries redownload the file and you won't experience that error again.
