try to load SL, and copy VoodooHDA...kext to "installer" partition. and try.

You got the the KP because your voodoo next is not compatible with Lion. If you can boot with -x and delete your good to go, but will ned an updated kext. If not reinstall time.

I always have a separate HDD or partition with a working OSX so I can boot to it and delete stuff from my new install when this stuff happens.

thanks you guys. I just partition my hard drive and made a fresh install of lion and went into my main hard drive partition and deleted it and went back works like a charm now. I just need to get sound. thanks you guys!

Good for you and sorry for my bad english
I also installed everything in my LION.

I am using AL982 sound card without sound in fresh installation, and solved sound problem after installed the following driver.
