Hi there,

I'm an absolutely a newbie. I'm not familer with terms, or methods at all.

I used my friend's Macbook Air and I was trying to create Clover Installation USB.

I was following this guide.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...oting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover-uefi.html

I accidently picked defualt Mac Hard drive as the destination and installed Clover.

I installed it once by clicking through everything ( default)

And I think I installed again using the guide'e method.
"- select "Customize" (the default is a legacy install -- we need to change it)
- check "Install for UEFI booting only", "Install Clover in the ESP" will automatically select
- check "Bluemac" from Themes (the config.plist files I provide use this theme)
- check "OsxAptioFixDrv-64" from Drivers64UEFI"

I have not restarted the MAC and trying to get ti fixed before I create a bigger problem....

MY questions are.....

1. How Do I know if modifed this Macbook air? What do I search for it?

2. How do I remove..fix this problem....???

Thank you so much for yourtime... I'm Clueless and very scared...

Oh my! - eventually you will have to bootup to survey the damage and maybe at the boot screen, you'll have the choice to correct or rebuild the drive. Unless someone else has a better suggestion, maybe you'd be better off posting for a solution in Apple's Community. Just say you've accidentally wiped your drive, I wouldn't mention Clover as you may get a few derisory remarks from the fanboys - Good Luck

PS - I would think if you could Somehow get into 'Time Machine' and do a restoration of the hard drive and fix the problem.

Or better, if he didn't restarted the mac, he could mount the hidden EFI partition and erase clover files.

How would he mount the hidden EFI partition without a restart? unless you mean accessing the drive by other means, so if you know that method you should enlighten him.

"he didn't restarted the mac, he could mount the hidden EFI partition and erase clover files."

i heard about this solution..... but... direction on how to do this on terminal is very minimum...

Mount the EFI Drive
find the file...
delete the file...
unmount the EFI DRIVE.....

i read it somewhere... but i don' know how to "mount" and i don't know what to look for...

Sorry for the time waited. I was using my phone and I answered this to another post. So to do that:

I showed with my terminal. To show hidden EFI partition, you open terminal then:

type: diskutil list

**
Last login: Thu Apr 30 15:24:08 on console

thiagos-imac:~ USER$ diskutil list
/dev/disk0
#:--------TYPE NAME-------------------------SIZE-----------------IDENTIFIER
0:--------GUID_partition_scheme---------*250.1 GB-----------------disk0
1:--------EFI EFI---------------------------209.7 MB-----------------disk0s1 ------------THE DISK THE BE MOUNTED
2:--------Apple_HFS Yosemite-------------249.2 GB-----------------disk0s2
3:--------Apple_Boot Recovery HD---------650.0 MB-----------------disk0s3
/dev/disk1
#:--------TYPE NAME------------------------SIZE-----------------IDENTIFIER
0:--------FDisk_partition_scheme----------*1.0 TB-----------------disk1
1:--------Windows_NTFS-----------------500.1 GB-----------------disk1s1
2:--------Windows_NTFS-----------------500.1 GB-----------------disk1s2
thiagos-imac:~ USER$ diskutil mount disk0s1
Volume EFI on disk0s1 mounted
thiagos-imac:~ USER$

To mount the EFI EFI disk, for me it will be: diskutil mount disk0s1

Then you go erase the whole EFI folder, as this folder is created during clover install.

When finished, type: diskutil unmount disk#s#

Ok - my question still remains, how can we mount the partition without restarting - Would that be accessing the Drive remotely? It's possible I suppose.
Our friend is hoping for a step by step method so the query is still out there.

Edit - @ oliveira_thiago - Thanks for the clarification I just read your post above this. Lets hope our friend (as a newbie) can understand and deploy your fix

but i don' know how to "mount" and i don't know what to look for...

Run the below command on terminal
Code:
defaults write com.apple.DiskUtility DUDebugMenuEnabled 1

Then open the Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility)
Goto the Debug Menu, click on Show Every Partition.

Then right click on your EFI Partition and choose Mount "EFI"

Once it is done, check in Finder. Your EFI Partition will be there.

Note:-
* Boot loader cannot be uninstalled.
* Apple devices using EFI booting, not UEFI/Legacy. Seems like the clover installation will not make any issues on the system.

Oh don't even think about rebooting, you will get black or grey screen with repeating chime, and you will be left with no choice but to take it to a apple store.
