Just installed Gigabyte Radeon HD 6450 under 10.7.4.

Here's more details:
Z86A-D3H-B3 rev 1.3, F11 BIOS
i5-2500K
8GB Corsair Vengeance
120GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD
TP-Link TL-WDN4800 WiFi
Framebuffer is Pithecia

I have a second hidden ghost screen, despite I only have one monitor attached.

Has anyone encountered this issue ? I don't seem to be able to kill that second screen...

My mouse disappears in the smaller hidden screen area, as if my desktop was extended, but I don't have such a monitor...

See attached screen shots !

Does anyone have any input on how to fix ?

Thank you in advance !

Does anyone have input on how to get rid of second screen ?

Hi!

I have a Radeon 4670 and I also had a "second hidden ghost screen".
In my case that second screen appears only when the generic RadeonFrameBuffer is loaded. After setting PCIRootUID=0 (I was using PCIRootUID=1 previously) in chimera, now the correct "Flicker" framebuffer is loaded and no second ghost screen appears. I have GraphicsEnabler=Yes.

I suspect the problem can be related to an incorrect vga configuration when using the default RadeonFrameBuffer. I was trying to find the connector info table for the generic RadeonFrameBuffer (just googling), but I failed. Maybe the connector info, and/or any other relevant data, is automatically deduced by the system from vga bios and causes our second ghost screen to appear (an unsupported/unknown or bad vga bios maybe?).

Are you sure your Pithecia framebuffer is being loaded and not the generic RadeonFrameBuffer? (run "ioreg | grep ATY" in terminal to see loaded framebuffer)
In case your Pithecia framebuffer is being loaded, did you tried editing Pithecia personality and changing the connectors config?
