Has anyone compiled an ssdt for i7 2670QM (2.20GHz up to 3.10 GHz)? I tried this but I'm not that advanced in the mac scene. From the looks of it, my ssdt pstates go from x10 to x27 but it stays at Min x16, x20, x25, Max x28. Any help with this will be appreciated.

I used a hex calculator and my MHz's on my current ssdt max at 3900 (0x0F3C) and min 1600 (0x0640). But my max is 2772MHz I don't get it. My laptop is running my hotter and I put arctic silver 5 on the GPU AND CPU. I need to get my lower pstates 13,12,11,10,9, & 8 like when I was on 10.7.3

Here is my current ssdt & dsdt

What about this one ?
SSDT.aml.zip

I noticed with my i5 that if I have too many frequencies at the top I never see the bottom ones.
SSDT above has exactly 800 to 3100

And same dsdt, just cleaned out of compilation errors.

OMG!!! Thank you so much man, I'm seeing Min x8, Max x28, and I do believe everything in between. You are the chiz man, I can't be more thankful. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: I've seen x8, x12, x17, x22, 28 so far, but I can't work MSRDumper.kext to get a decent readout. I run it right but the console app never shows up for me to click on kernel.log

Great man ! :headbang:
What you see pretty much covers the whole range. My output also takes time to generate some states between.
I'm curious. What profile do you use. Everymac shows that for i7-2675QM correct designation is MacBookPro8,2
Can you generate SMBios.plist with Chameleon Wizard? viewforum.php?f=278 and test again with MSRDumper?

gr8! can some one compile SSDT/DSDT for i7-2720QM 2.20GHz up to 3.30 GHz please

and do we need both SSDT and DSDT with i7?

Mine says MacBookPro8,1. Where do I get the 8.2 profile from HERE? Multibeast doesn't have that profile. And man my laptop is so cool (43 degrees) and super fast woot..

you get the profile in Chameleon Wizard.

Hey big donkey, Am I supposed to get higher pstates than x28 (2772MHz), like x30 or x31?

I get up to x30 and 2970Mhz in HWMonitor

What model did you define in SMbios (number, location, year, week)?
