Hey TonyMac86,
Been a while since i tried Hackintoshin'.... and i'm looking for some help.
I have installed El Capitan through USB with Unibeast. (couldnt boot into the installer normally, so i i found a YouTube video and in the description it says remove "after unibeast install go to system library extensions and delete nvdastartup and nvdaresman.kext appleintelBDWgraphicsframebuffer.kext"
I did this and i was able to boot into the installer and install El Capitan on my 120gb 550mbps SSD drive. First boot (without any flags) failed as the Apple logo turned into a Stop sign. According to another article i had to boot using flags:
cpus=1 nv_disable=1 ( which works ).
What works:
Audio, Internet, Graphics (but laggy), USB 2, SSD.
What doesn't work:
- Video lags (tried playing a YouTube video @ 720p, 1080p and 4k and they all lagged).
- Internet lags (did a speedtest @ speedtest.net and im getting 100mbit average, i usually get 200mbit).
- USB 3 devices (i have 2 external drives which i need for my work)
- Wakeup after sleep (need to reboot with those flags again)
When i go to "about this mac" it says iMac 27inch (with a 21,5 inch screen connected) --- this is weird as it should look similair to mac pro 3.1 with 2x 24" inch LG IPS LED screens.
Can anyone help me get this to work?
My setup:
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V (not the Pro or LE)
CPU: Intel I7 2600k
Ramm: 16gb 1600mhz (mac says 1333)
SSD 1 (MAC): 120gb Kingston 550mbps
SSD 2 (Win7): 500gb Samsung EVO 750
HDD: 2 TB SATA
GPU: ATI 7970 3gb with 2x LG 24" inch IPS LED screens
USB3: 2x External drives connected 1x 1TB + 1x 2TB
Audio: Focusrite Saffire (external, through Firewire)
Webcam: Logitech C910
Help is greatly appreciated!!
*UPDATE:
- I chose Unibeast EFI..... or should i try Legacy again?
